Review: Amii's Angel by Natalie-Nicole Bates

Amii's Angel grabbed me from the blurb and I had to read it, I was fortunate that Netgalley gave me the novella in exchange for an honest review. This is very much a 2nd meeting romance where holding on to the past just messes up the future.

This is a short but intense novella at only 115 pages. I wish the novel was full length as the plot could have been above average if there had been more words to really dig into the past history of the two and allowed even more build up of the sexual tension. The plot moves extremely quickly even though the writing was at times confusing, at times it felt as if there were two writers. The meat of the novella was a bit rough and seems like it might have been a first attempt at writing for the author, then we come to the sex and it was way way better, incredibly hawt! The writing of the sex scenes feels like it was a more mature writer and it flowed smoothly.

I was at times really frustrated with the characters because as they were on the more mature side of adulthood, they at times came across as immature and childish. In particular I found Ammi TSTL at times and it drove me crazy. Overall this was an enjoyable read and if you are a fan of novellas you will love this intense romance. I am giving this a 3.5 star rating and rounding it up to 4.
