Review: Win by Submission by Melynda Price Book 1 in the Against the Cage series
Here is a book with an outstanding blurb and wonderful prologue which reaches out and grabs you and makes you want to read the book. Melynda Price is a new to me author and Netgalley kindly gave me this novel in exchange for an honest review.
The books started out with a bang! Unfortunately it kinda slowed down from there. Don't get me wrong this book has a ton of potential and I think having a beta group read the book would have done wonders. There were a few things that put me off. Repetition, how many times do we need to hear how attractive the heroine is to the hero? or How hot the hero is and how attracted the heroine is to him. I think we got it and didn't need it repeated ad-nosum. The premise of the book was great. An MMA fighter hurt in the ring after winning the belt, a physio-therapist with a history of abuse to help me recover so he can fight again. Good right? An parts of it were really interesting. I think though that you really have to stick with it. The first 1/3 of the book after the prologue was well...not great but if you stuck with it, the pace picks up and the story gets more involved.
I really liked the characters and I think MP has a great talent for creating multi dimensional characters. I think she just needs to focus on the balance and rhythm of her story and have excellent editors to help her cut out the stuff that is just not needed. Much of the "blather" gave nothing to the story...nothing to the characters or world creation it just made the book longer.
There was enough in the book that I did enjoy to give it a 3 star rating and I will be watching out for Aiden's story because as I mentioned the characters are very compelling. As far as a recommendation, I'd wait to see if the next book is cleaned up and that book 1 was just a warm up and vehicle to start a good series.

Always by Shyla Colt Book1 Wesson Rebels MC Series
Recommended to t'irla ~The Bookslayer~ by: netgalley
Recommended for: no recommendation
Read from March 19 to 23, 2015 — I own a copy, read count: 1
This is a new to me author from the blurb the booked looked really interesting so I did request it from Netgalley and was given it for an honest review.
I have to start by saying I usually don't baulk to much at editing issues because when I am deeply engrossed in a story my mind usually corrects them and I keep going. However, there were sooooo many issues with this novel, incorrect words, spelling mistakes, words used incorrectly and we won't even get into the grammar issues. I need to suggest to the publish/author that an editor, beta readers or both give the novel a read and correct the issues before publishing. If I had paid for this novel I would have returned it because there was just too many to be acceptable.
Second thing is, how many POV are too many...this book is an example of trying to tell the story from too many angles and they tend to confuse the reader. There was as many as 4 POV in 1 chapter it was kinda crazy.
Now for more personal issues, I didn't realize the book was a MFFM menage...I didn't mind but was just surprised when the brothers shared their partners. This is my bad cause I would not have picked it had I known...I don't mind MMF or even MMM but just don't really read FF of any sort. Second personal thing was that he book was a cliffhanger which I despise.
Now the good stuff. The story is interesting ...the first one where a generation of biker kids all hang out and connect...like the premise. I like the crazy bad boy hero in biker romances and I liked the juxtaposition of the softer more caring brother and the twist that happens in the last 1/4 of the book. There is so much potential for this to be a rock'n biker story but unfortunately the writing and above mentioned issues just didn't get it there.
I have to give the book a 2 star rating based on the premise but I just can't recommend it when there are so many excellent biker novels to spend your hard earned money on.

Review: Jake Me by Sabrina Stark book 2 in Jaked
Wow again, much like in book 1 it is Sabrina Stark's unique and slightly screwy viewpoint that makes this book work. Her writing is so easy to read and how she grabs you and makes you hang on is what makes a great contemporary romance writer.
Now after book 1 we were left with a ton of unanswered questions and yes all of them get answered in book 2 but so much happens in the book we as readers aren't sure what we care about most...getting the questions answered or smacking Luna around for being a naive fool...with TSTL tendencies. Luckily it was Jake who made this book. The reader watched him grow and mature in this book. Yes, he is still all protective and alpha but more of his background and thinking are revealed and we see why he has become the man he is. I grew to love him more and more but the more I loved him the more I wanted to shoot Luna myself. She really came across as immature and soooo stupid ...the hotel scene is a great example of her being TSTL. I mean really! I'm afraid her character did make this book lose a star....
On the positive side her brothers had me rolling on the floor laughing they were a total hoot! I would love to read their story some day.
I enjoyed the feel of the mafia about the book and the intrigue that kept the reader hanging in there to see how it would all end. I'm really curious now as to the other books Sabrina Stark has published and I know I will go back and read them. Her voice is quirky and enjoyable. I give this book a 4 star review and a recommendation. If you are looking for a different read and just get lost in a story this would be a great book for you to spend a day or two reading. You will end up smiling I guarantee it!

Review: Burned by Darkness by Alexandra Ivy Book 1 in Dragons of Eternity
Alexandra Ivy was one of the authors I binged on when I found myself back to reading PNR novels and I adored her Guardians of Eternity novels so when I saw she had a new series out on Netgalley I just had to request it and luckily they gave me a copy in exchange for an honest review.
If you love Guardians of Eternity you will adore Dragons of Eternity. They style of writing and plot set up is pretty similar in both novels plus you see crossover characters since DoE is a spin off series. That all being said you don't *have* to read GoE to enjoy DoE. The book starts off a bit confusing, I was feeling like I had missed something but kept reading and after a couple of chapters it made sense or the most part, by the ending everything made sense.
One of AI's strengths is her character creations. She has a way with quirky weird characters and through humour and adventure she makes them loveable and completely engages the readers, we care what happens to them and want them to have their HEA. In book one of this new series it is no different. Baine our hero is a dragon lord who is one of the most condescending, alpha, arrogant males in PNR in a LONG time but ohhhh so incredibly sexy! I mean totally *HOT* and *Hawt* ...read the book you will find out what I mean:) Tayla is a fae, an imp to be precise and she is on the run.... won't go into the plot too much but I will let you know Levitt is in the story and up to his old tricks again....loving on the women and irritating the hell outta the men:) ...I adore him.
I enjoyed the story line immensely it started out moving fast and kept at it. We meet villains and then more villains. We see a bit of the dragon hierarchy and learn some of there abilities. As always in a first novel there is much world building and character introduction to get through but I thought AI did a great job of it. Usually the first book in a series is the weakest, if this is true we are in for a heck of a ride as we meet more of the Dragons of Eternity. I love Guardians of Eternity and I can't wait for cameo appearances of some of my favourites in the those novels.
I rate this a dazzling 4 stars and a recommendation for those looking for a light PNR with romance and sizzling hawt sex (hotter then GoE), an adventure with bad guys and good guys and dragons we don't know where they fit in yet then this is a novel for you. A great beach read for summer of 2015 or a wonderful way to spend a rainy, stormy day curled with a blanket and a glass of wine:)

Review: Insider by Olivia Cunning Book One Exodus End
I admit I'm a Olivia Cunning fan, I consider her the Queen of Erotic Rockstar Romance and I have been waiting *forever* for this book ok ok just 2 years but still the teasers about this band that were in "Sinners on Tour" made me anxious to read the story of Exodus End. I admit that it is Dare Mills that grabbed my heart however, I was definitely ready to open my heart to the other band members.
In book one of this much awaited series we have Logan the band's bassist's story. I adored Logan, the resident boy-man, man-whore, comic of the group. His dirty mouth matched his talent on the bass. Logan was living the rockstar life doing what he wanted to who he wanted and was pretty happy with that life and with himself. The rest of the band seemed to be maturing around him but Logan just stuck to his teenage boy ways. His potty humour just killed me I found myself laughing out loud at his antics and dirty mouth. He was everything I adore in the sidekicks of most books. Fortunately, Olivia Cunning doesn't do sidekicks she tells everyone's story as long as they are a member of the band.
Toni, our heroine was a sheltered virgin who grew up with a controlling mother and became the caretaker of her disabled sister. (Downs Syndrome) She is 25 and lives isolated on an island with little interaction with others of her age. I think most of the reason I didn't give this book a 5 star rating is because of how incredibly naive Olivia Cunning wrote this character. In today's day and age of TV, computer games, magazines and the internet it is impossible for anyone to stay so over the top naive. She is unworldly yes, has no experience yes but not aware of the happening of a rock band on tour ...she would have had to be living under a rock. I understand that her V-card became an albatross around her neck but hopping into bed with the first rockstar she met was a bit too unbelievable. The second night maybe after spending a bit of time...but not within an hour of meeting him, just doesn't add up for me. What I did love about Toni was her quirky, out of nowhere sense of humour she had me in stitches and I loved how she took the others off guard.
I did find the over all story a bit too predictable but with the quality of writing and the wit used it was still very engaging. The novel was also very long at 500 pages but I never at any point found it dragging or looked to see how much was left. I was totally immersed in the characters and story. Over all it was fast paced, a quick easy read, funny, sexy, quirky. The oddball match up that OC is so great at coupled with the outstanding dialogue that is her trademark made the book entertaining. I particularly loved Logan's dirty mouth...he could take anything and give it a sexual twist...I have heard some of those lines since my brothers were sixteen.
For me Logan's transformation was the best, watching him fight his feeling, deny his feelings and finally give in to his feelings was great to watch. We did see some changes in Toni but I though they might have been a bit more...daring....but I kinda of felt that Toni's story is not quite over..I sense that we may see more of her in future books and be able to observe more changes as she and Logan travel to Europe together. I also hope OC touches Logan's "I'm only a bassist" remarks that thread was not tied up in this book and I would like to see him feel more included and necessary.
Insider offers you everything you would expect in an Olivia Cunning book, hawt sex, great characters and a fun time. Reading her previous series "Sinners on Tour" is not mandatory but I personally think you would get more out of the book/series if you do read it first. I would like to thanks the publisher through Netgalley for advancing me this novel in exchange for an honest review. I give this novel a 4 golden treble clef rating and a recommendation to Erotic Romance readers who love Rockstar love stories as much as I do. Another great summer of 2015 vacation read!

Review: Servicing the Target by Cherise Sinclair Book 10 in the Masters of the Shadowland Series
It is difficult to find an author that never lets you down but Cherise Sinclair IS that author. You get exactly what you expect but *more* with each novel. In a series that starts out explaining gently about BSDM she seems to touch on so many issues that face women today and shows how strong supported woman over come these issues and thrive. I love it. In this novel we have MCs who are a bit older and have lived a hazardous life in one way or another and have become comfortable in who they are but still feel there is something missing.
I would like to thank Cherise Sinclair for giving me this novel in exchange for an honest review.
I won't go into the specifics of the novel because I feel you as readers should be as entertained as I was while reading it. I will say the first part might seem a bit slow to some but I really appreciated that it wasn't insta love/lust but a slow build up and some interaction that starts this attraction off and just takes off from there. CS shows that love is ageless, it is flexible and adaptable you just have to be willing to open yourself up to the feeling it reveals.
I particularly liked that Anne was a Domme. I don't usually enjoy books where the female is in control but I knew that CS would find a way of keeping my male MC as alpha as possible and she sure does Ben is everything I love in an alpha male and more, the fact that he can submit in the bedroom makes him even more attractive but this is the open discussion that CS encourages in all her novels that lead them to their ending.
The ending was a tad rushed for me and that is what caused this to be a 4 star read instead of a 5 star. I loved seeing all the other couples from the "Masters" series and seeing how they are growing together...and I can't wait for the next novel by Cherise Sinclair because I know whatever it is it is going to be marvellous! *waves her fan girl flag for CS*

Review and Recommendation: Ryker by Sawyer Bennett Book 4 in Cold Fury Hockey Series
What can I say I LIKED IT>>>I REALLY REALLY LIKED IT!!! One of the best hockey/sports series in contemporary romance today. Sawyer Bennett does it all...suspense, teamwork, love, conflict and a great big dose of hot sizzling sex. I really wish I could get me one of her players!!!
Ryker is the fourth book in this wonderful hockey sports contemporary romance series and in my opinion Ryker is my favorite hero to date. I love his maturity, his love for his girls, the fact that he is conflicted and yet none of this this takes away from what a sizzling hawt alpha male hockey player and great lead for our heroine Gray. Gray is one of my favorite heroines as well....I admit I never like the heroine as much as the hero..cause she is my competition you know *grin *... Gray is smart, authoritative, strong, aware she is representing women in business, her maturity gives her character a depth that someone younger could not have had. Mixing these two characters builds a chemistry that just flys off the page and creates the best couple in this series to date and that is saying something because I loved the previous 3 couples too.
SB writes another solid story bringing in some suspense and conflict while adding a dash of hockey, a pinch of parenting and a teaspoon of supporting friends to create a novel you just don't want to put down. I admit this was an all nighter for me cause I just had to see what happens and how they over come the obsticals to get to the HEA I know SB will give me.
I could keep ranting but I really think you need to meet this nice strong alpha hockey player yourself and feel the chemistry between him and Gray...it is sure to curl your toes. 4.5 stars and a high t'irla recommendation for this series and this novel...I just can't wait for book 5!!!! Sawyer Bennett you best be writing it now:)

Review: Hold Me Down by Jackie Ashenden Book 3 in the Deacons of Bourbon Street MC Series
Thanks Netgalley for providing me with this novel in exchange for an honest review.
I read book one of this series and the idea of a motorcycle club that disbanded for whatever reason during Hurricane Katrina and then coming back together after the death of the president is really intriguing especially after 10 years. In a series where every novel is written by a different author you are going to have many different flavours of writing. Here in book 3 we have a bit of a slower less complete style from book 1. I enjoyed the characters but they were were not fully dimensional and could have been fleshed out a bit more as to who they were...we got the relationship from the past and chemistry now...but it had a real feel of insta-love and I just didn't connect with it. I Found myself enjoying the idea of the characters and story more than the writing itself. This could have been a real epic novel with the two clubs coming together but it felt very much second thought when the first thought was not complete....
I will read book 4 because I'm really curious as to what the next writer will do with the storyline but I did find this one a bit weak. 2.74 stars for this read.

Series Review: Heart's Desire by Dane Marie Bell
\
Series Review!
Thanks to Netgalley who gifted me with a copy of Warlock Unbound which made me go buy the previous 3 books in the series. In exchange for the gift I give an honest review of the series.
I have read one other series of DMB and really enjoyed it. That series was a bit more silly and humour based and I totally loved it. This series is a bit more serious with a harder fantasy flavour what doesn't change is the use DMB makes of humour and snark to make her characters lovable and easy to relate to and care about.
This series is the story of 4 brothers who have to live with a curse...all three are magicians of one sort or another and the novels tell us their individual stories within the context of one larger family feud. No one can fault DMB's incredible writing, her stories are face paced and she gives us fully dimensional characters which make appearances through out each of the 4 novels..the story line is continuous and a back to back read such as I did really keeps you engrossed in the the world and in your feelings for the characters. In book 1 we have the family curse explained and throughout the series we learn of the impact on the family, we also learn of the different magical factions that make up the world in which the story takes place and how those factions help unite the family and those of magical intelligence.
I know lovers of PNR will enjoy each of these well written novels and fantasy lovers will embrace the world in which the stories take place. I have given all 4 novels a 4 star rating and that is where I will place the entire series. If you love witches, warlocks, sorcerers and magic with a dash of shifter this series will be on your favorite shelf immediately.

Now Available! Reap by Tillie Cole Book2 in the Scarred Souls Series
Obviously this is all a sign of amazing writing and no doubt about it Tillie Cole is an amazing writer, her creativity, her crafting of a story has you being part of the story, feeling what her characters feel...the fear, hate, love. I can't say I loved the book....but I did *feel* the book....and that is what is going to make me read the next one in the series..I felt Zaal's love for his sister and now ....well book 3 I *have* to know what happens.
4 strong confused stars and a recommendation if you are looking for something dark, gritty with writing that is out of this world.....give yourself a fall treat and get Raze and Reap today!

Review: Wicked Beautiful by J. T. Geissinger
**Thanks to Netgalley for gifting me this book in exchange for an honest review***
Loved it....What a bitch...but the story unfolds and you understood what made her who she was. I loved how the plot unfolded and you discovered the depth of both characters and how they each grew for the other. The story is hot but has a slow burn that builds into a blazing fire.
This is a very different novel for this author and I do hope she dips her toes further into the CR pool. Great characters, fully rounded story over all enjoyable read.
4 star read for me and a recommendation!

Excerpt
“I’m going to remember this as the worst time in my entire life. The very worst.” She shook her head. “There is nothing I can do to change that. Girls my age are playing sports, going to dances and parties, kissing boys. And that’s never been me. I’ve had a full time job at the grove and a part time job at the Stop-N-Shop. I’ve done nothing over the last few years except work my ass off and watch my family fall apart. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse…now all this.” She waived around to the house and to me and let out an awkward laugh. She took another hit off the bowl, passing it back to me. Her coughing much less than it was on her first try.
“Ti, how old are you?” I asked, clearing my throat as I ventured into territory I knew I shouldn’t. She was a pistol, even if she was a sad one, but there was a wave of innocence about her that had me both feeling bad for her and salivating for a taste of her.
This is for her, not you. I told myself. It was only a partial lie.
“Seventeen,” She said, sniffling. “Eighteen soon.”
“You ever been kissed?” I asked, her eyes met mine. “And not a peck on the cheek or a brief smack of the lips, but a real fucking kiss? One that leaves you without air in you lungs and your thighs pressing together in search of more?” I said, my voice coming out deep and strained. My cock coming alive at the thought of tracing my tongue along her pump lips.
“Why?” She whispered, and as soon as the words left her mouth I knew there would be no coming back from what I was about to do.
I pushed off the fire pit and pulled her up off the chair, pressing her tits into my chest and my straining cock against her stomach. I tipped her chin up and looked into her confused emerald greens. She followed my thumb with her eyes as I traced her bottom lip. There were too many lines marring her face, questioning what it was I was up to. I knew she would try to pull away at any second, try to stop me. But it was too late for that.
I was beyond stopping.
Just one taste.
“Answer the question,” I pressed.
“No,” she said with a slight shake of her head, and before she could try to argue, I leaned down and pressed my lips to hers.
I was already going to hell.
Might as well enjoy the ride there.
The finale to Bear and Thia's epic love story.

NOW AVAILABLE: The Truth About Him by M. O'Keefe book 2 in the The Everything I left Unsaid series
I love love love this series of two. Book 1 left me hanging....book 2 did a great job tying up all those threads and giving me sooooo much more story. What a blast!!!
Thanks Netgalley for gifting me this novel in exchange for an honest review.
Molly O'Keefe was a new to me author in book 2 and a fast favourite now that I have completed book 2.... In a novel that brings me such a well crafted and depth of story also gives me characters who I make me feel everything...fear, anger, angst and confusion. No this is not a feel good story there is too much raw edge to it but not so real that it will scare away those who like to keep that one step back from reality.
In a book that offers you suspense, mystery, romance, grit, bikers, trailer park trash and cancer you feel a love that came from hurt and developed into a healthy forever in this grand contemporary romance that you must not miss. 5 star read and top 5 series of the year for me.

BUY NOW!!! Chrisian by D.B. Reynolds Book 10 in the Vampires in America Series
DB Reynolds once again brings us the hottest, toughest Vampire alpha male in the genre. Vampires in America is one of my favourite on going series and DBR keeps it fresh and moving with every novel.
The Vampire Wars is heating up and we have a new battle for Vampire Lord, we also have Vincent and Lana's loose ends from the previous book all tied up...what is not to love? Christian just like all of DBR's alpha heroes is absolutely delicious and we meet two very yummy new vamps in Marco and Alon....I'll call dibs on Alon right now for the future because if DBR doesn't give us more of him I'm gonna fly to SCA and stalk her till she does *grin * ....Natalie I'm not as keen on as I was some of the other heroines in the series...she walks just shy of being TSTL and not as tough as Cyn, Lana and all.
The story is fast paced with something happening every minutes with all the twists and turns we expect from DBR....Love Christian and love Vampires in America....how long til the next book???? huh huh huh???
5 shining stars from a favourite author and the confidence that the next book will be as good as all the previous books! ...Don't miss out on Christian..it is available NOW!

Review: Jaked by Sabrina Stark Book 1 in Jaked Series.
Wow! What a ride!!! A novel that gives you twists, turns, dark moments, funny moments, lustful feelings, nail biting intrigue, steam and a drop dead dark handsome alpha hero. On top of all this a cliffhanger that makes you want to hunt down the author and short sheet her bed.
Sabrina Stark is a new to me author and I think I have fallen in love. Now I must mention I did have book 2 ready to go so the cliffy didn't make me as crazy as it did other readers. I also like to be kept guessing so I enjoyed having to wait for some of my questions to be answered until book 2, it gave me a reason to run out and one click it right away.
Sabrina Stark is a skilled writer who uses a lot of writing techniques to get her message across. In a story line that has some severely dark elements it is laced with humor that had me putting the pillow over my mouth so I wouldn't wake the hubby. Luna was so flaky at times she just made me laugh. However, the way the intrigue is as much a character in the story as the relationship between Jake and Luna was ingenious, the whole of this novel we are asking ourselves questions and just waiting for the answers. SS taunted us with bit and pieces but never gave us enough to actually figure out what exactly was going on. Jaked was more about the building of the relationship between Jake and Luna and taking us back to when they originally met as children. I'm sure book 2 will be more about solving mysteries and answering questions.
I admit it has been a while since I was completely enraptured by a new to me author. Sabrina had me in the palm of her hand throughout the entire book. I can't wait for the next novel...in fact I will dive into it immediately. I have to give this novel a bright 4.25 star rating and a recommendation. If you are looking for something a bit on the different side and yet using familiar elements with a side of grit this is definitely the book for you. Remember if you don't want to get caught by the cliffy have book 2 cued up and ready to go. Now get those fingers one clicking and tell Jake that t'irla sent you!!!

Review: Hard to Break by Bella Jewel Book 2 in the Alpha's Heart Series
I really enjoyed book one of this series and was grateful to Netgalley for giving me book 2 in exchange for an honest review.
Hard to Break didn't disappoint. The story was very much a coming of age for both characters. Quinn a tomboy who grew-up with a wrench in hand and Tazen a boy from the tough side of town taking his passion and turning it into dollars and fame. Meeting each other in the worse of conditions with none of that insta-love was the trigger to maturity.
I really enjoyed the strong story line that took us through Quinn and Tazen's relationship. I adored the tenacity and fight that Quinn put into keep what was her's and how that grew into more. I liked how Tazen finally let down his walls to allow himself to grow into the man he was meant to be. Great mix of angst, adversity and heat make this a fast read and enjoyable novel.
I found the characters easily to relate to and the story moved quickly keeping me engaged the entire time. I loved the rawness of the story and the bit of darkness that at times wound itself through the storyline. BJ is great at that bit of grit and I'm glad she didn't leave it behind with her bikers.
Overall a totally enjoyable read and I look forward to next novel of the series. 4 rubber burning stars for this novel. If you like tomboys and cars this one is for you!

NEW RELEASE: October 27 and Review: Filthy Rich by Virna DePaul
ON SALE NOW!!!
Virna DePaul is a new to me author and I'm really glad I took the chance and requested this novel with the sexy cover from Netgalley who kindly gave it to me in exchange for an honest review.
Not your typical billionaire romance novel. Virna DePaul grabs the readers attention immediately by giving us early character development so that we can connect to the characters intimately and immediately. The back-stories are so important as the story really does revolve around the feelings both positive and negative that Cara and Branden start to feel for each other.
The plot compels the reader forward with twists and turns and the intense chemistry between the characters fills in the gaps between the drama and intrigue of the high finance arena. I personally loved that VP didn't spend a huge amount of time world building but used that time to develop the characters and chemistry for the reader. There were some loose ends which annoyed me enough to cost a 1/2 star in the rating ....example....mentioned a couple of times that this job was not necessarily what Cara wanted to do..but that was never brought forward after the initial first chapter, the stories of Brandon's relationships with his sisters. The point was made to introduce them....I can only assume that a series will be made of this family and that was the reason for so may sisters and the introduction of them.

This was a 3.5 star for me and Virna DePaul is an "author to watch for" for t'irla's talk...I enjoyed this my first novel by her and will be seeking out other novels....I do love finding new authors!!! Join me in discovering Virna DePaul.

NEW RELEASE TODAY: Taking Connor by B.N. Toler (review to come)
Blurb:
There’s a stereotype for how a convicted felon appears to the public.
Connor Stevens fit that bill.
His reputation preceded him. With a hard body and vivid tattoos dispersed across his flesh, he certainly drew the judgmental eyes of conservative tight-asses. Even I had those same thoughts…regardless of how highly Blake spoke of him.
But those opinions were about to be challenged.
I’d promised to pick Connor up from prison—where he’d served eight years for manslaughter. When Blake passed away, I had every intention of honoring our agreement. Taking Connor home would be my ultimate show of gratitude. Blake never disclosed why Connor killed a man, and I never had the guts to ask. Ever daunted, and against my better judgment, I soon grew to feel close to Connor, in spite of how perverse it was. Still, I vowed to brush off those feelings at all costs.
At least I thought I would. Until all hell broke loose…
Diving head-first, I relished in the time spent in Connor’s damnation. But when he was thrust into hell, it didn’t matter how wrong it was to love him. It was immaterial what he’d done…or why. I came out swinging and clawing, and submerged into the inferno with him, refusing to leave until we both walked out hand in hand. My instinct was to fight.
Connor wouldn’t burn alone.
I would save him.
Or turn to ash right beside him
