*jumps with excitement*  I'd like you all to welcom my newest book boyfriend Link to the bear rug!!!

t'irla:  Introduce yourself to my followers Link!

Link:  I'm  Special Warfare Operator 1 (SO-1) Lincoln “Link” Tyler

t'irla: oohh I just love a man with a title and umm...muscles!  *touching a bicep*

t'irla:  So Link share, what do you look for in a woman?

Link:  Just so you know, I’ve never been one to shrink from a pretty woman, but I believe true beauty comes from a strength inside. That’s what I always looks for. Also, a strong and independent lady that can tell me what she wants and can stand up to me, and can take it when I call her on her own baloney.

t'irla:  *grins broadly*  Oh my!  you suddenly became even more attractive!  Now, Now no blushing...I'm just asking what my followers *need* to know:)

t'irla: So, How do you define love?

Link:  That’s a big question! Probably there are a lot of people that have different answers for this question. For me, I believe love is about both a chemical and emotional connection. There is a strong physical link, sure, and there is also an emotional—sort of a spiritual plane—that just the two of you sit on. Together, you bring out the best of each other. Separately, you can feel that power no matter where you are on the planet. Love isn’t just for a moment, but for the rest of eternity.

t'irla:  *nods sagely* I so agree.  It sounds like you have given it some thought

t'irla:   What  initially attracted you to Jessa?

Link:  *happy smirk* Jessa radiates this indomitable strength and she generously teaches it to others. That’s what I initially fell in love with about her.

t'irla:  If you cannot be with Jessa, what would you do? *clears throat* keeping in mind I could be available ...no no just kidding *grin*

Link:  *smiles then gets serious* Stay single. If I had to wait until we were both old and gray, I would. I don’t want to. So, I’m going to fight for her, because that’s what you do when you love someone. But, the real question is...is she going to fight for me?

t'irla:  *mumbles* would be crazy if she didn't

t'irla:  What do you consider your greatest strength?

Link:  I’m dedicated. Whatever I set my mind to, I make it happen.

t'irla:  On the flipside of that, what is your one great weakness?

Link:  Loving someone strongly, that can be a major weakness. If my home life doesn't get settled, I can’t reach my career goals or move forward. Even knowing this fact, I cannot turn off my love for her. The heart is a real ball-buster when it comes to a decision. None of us gets much choice, once the decision is made. We have to step up to the challenge of loving someone and make it work, or accept the pain and suffering. I plan on making it work.

t'irla:  I think you have a very mature look on relationships. How do you picture your life with The One?
Link moves uncomfortably on the bear rug and looks down.

Link:  Passionate. I’m sure we’ll have some heated fights and some thermally-hot make-up sessions, but the fact we can be honest with each other means we have an opportunity to build something great. Secrets build-up in a relationship and your significant other needs to be not just your Teammate, but also your dedicate ally.

t'irla:  WOW! I think the fire just burned higher!  Thanks so much for joining me here on t'irla's talk and please drop by again!  I would love to hear how your life is going...and feel free to bring any of your hunky friends with you:)

Link:  Thanks t'irla, will do...I brought along a big of a teaser for your followers so they can share my story.

Excerpt

CHAPTER ONE

Night enveloped their naked bodies. It wasn't much in terms of cover, given their current unclothed state, but neither of them cared. Their passion was like an endless circle that seemed to begin again only a few seconds after it stopped.

Her eyes went to the windows. Starlight streamed through the large window allowing diffused light in, but still hiding the outline of their sweat slick bodies entwined in abandon. She couldn't help wondering if someone would catch her one of these days.

She and her lover were tucked into the back of the gym—away from prying eyes and taking advantage of the plush workout mats. The cushion was better than the best feather bed and she wasn't just saying that because she and her man had been testing it out as of late.

The workout center on the Naval Amphibious base in Coronado, CA, was atypical of normal places, because it was dedicated exclusively to active duty SEALs for their continuing success and fitness. With three years under her belt working here, Jessa knew the ins and outs of the building and even had her own key. But base security could be a bit dicey after nine p.m. What was it that they would say: all good Civilian Consultants should be tucked into bed after dark. She wasn’t sure that she could abide by that advice or that she was actually ‘good’…especially, in reference to following regulations. With other stuff, well, she had been rocking one particular SEAL’s world very well.

“Stop day-dreaming, unless you’re thinking about me,” said a husky baritone voice of Special Warfare Operator 1 (SO-1) Lincoln “Link” Tyler right before he kissed her. The mind-blowing sweep of lips and tongue transported her. Only he could do this to her. Every kiss reminded her of their first spark. His eyes locked to hers, and the way his gaze embraced her heart and seared her soul was almost like Link was inside her before their even lips met. The experience was intense and completely unique. It made her realize in every fiber of her spirit that no one else’s kiss had ever been like that and the memory would be seared in her being.

No one else had ever captured her heart or commanded her body this way. No man until him. Maybe that was why she had dared to date him, breaking her one golden rule of never dating where she worked. Lincoln broke all the molds. He was the exception to everything, and he was changing her life…drastically. Today, had been the moment she knew he was the one for her.

Desire washed over her and her body responded, arching into his eager arms as her mouth shifted over his. Pleasure flooded Jessa’s senses; she lost herself in the wanton hunger of his touch, which made Link chuckle. “That’s more like it. I thought I had lost my touch.”

“Never,” she admitted wryly, though she knew he could have any woman he wanted. His eyes seemed to trail her, and only her, when she was in his proximity. A lady never missed a heated connection like that. Besides, there were no rules to preclude the contact between a Navy Consultant and an enlisted man.

His fingers played over her skin and her body clenched and released aching for more. She could barely contain the passion that surged through her as his lips laid a path of heat down her neck and his hands stroked over her. “We could get caught…”

“Doesn't that make it more sexy?” he whispered as his tongue flicked out and teased the sensitive flesh between her breasts before it traced over her nipples. When she squirmed to get away from the overwhelming sensations, he followed up by raking gently over the stiff peaks with his teeth.

Her breath caught. “Lincoln. Please… I could get caught; sure it would probably only be a slap on the wrist, but neither of us needs it. Let’s go out to the beach, no one would get mad if we were caught out there. Everyone has sex on the Amphibious Base. Just last week, I saw Donna and her husband… Wait, that might take us out of the mood. Let’s not think about that.” She braced her hands against his shoulders and pushed. It was a half-hearted attempt and her body language conveyed it.
“Did you have sex on the beach before us? With him?” Link raised an eyebrow.

The ‘him’ that her lover was referring to was Scott ‘Goody’ Goodman—the man she was engaged to. In essence it was a camouflage technique, so that men didn't hit on her. Goody was a real person, a friend from college and they were really engaged; but it wasn't a true man/woman relationship at least not by her standards. It was more like two friends that were…safe port in a storm without the benefits. She shook her head. “No. I didn't break any of the rules…until you.”

Accidental Seal: Book 1 S.E.A.L Brotherhood

Read from July 16 to 18, 2014
Audiobook. Narrator: J.D. Hart

I love heroes who are military...these hunky alpha men just do it for me, so it was with excitement that I started this series by a new to me author Sharon Hamilton.

I read the blurb and was totally sold! So decided to listen to it on audiobook, this was a mistake...hated the narrator, he was stilted and it sounded like he was reading, it was very uncomfortable. I debated doing a DNF on this book based on the narrator, I decided however to press on, the story started out a bit confusing and I had to work at following the story. I was about 1/2 or more through before I got comfortable with SH's style of writing. It seemed distracted and choppy but had a lot of potential.

The characters, I didn't really connect with them. It just was a bit TSTL...why? Lets start with the heroine Christy; She is weak, jumped into bed with a guy after he attacked her...even though it was a misunderstanding what women agrees to go out with her attacker and jumps into bed with him...then gets all bent out of shape when he just wanted a quick romp? Then jumps into bed with him again and is suddenly in love...then runs away because he once again said he didn't want a relationship....ridiculous.
Kyle: I wanted to like him but what alpha male does the I want her...I don't want her, I want her...no no no...yes..no...he acted like a real jerk..sleeping with her..making her think there might be more then dumping her...not once, not twice but 3 times! Can you say as$hole?

In the last 1/8th of the book the action finally ramped up and we got some decent action scenes and some tragedy...but there were so many things that either didn't make sense or was left dangling. It could be that some of the threads will be picked up in future books but it left this one wanting. Two instances of this is Armando's sister and her child..or no child? Also, what is the purpose of Gunny and the oldsters he recruited in San Francisco..seemed a big deal that came to a big zero!

All this being said the premise was good...the idea just needed to be crafted better. Perhaps the use of an editor and beta readers would have made the story and writing a bit more cohesive. I give this a 2 star rating but that being said I will try book 2 Cooper's story cause he intrigued and I believe the narrator is different..crossing my fingers that Sharon Hamilton grew a bit as a writer for this next SEAL outing.

Note:  The narrator is the same in book 2 but he seems to have loosened up at least in the first 10%.  t'irla

       Worth Forgiving
By Vi Keeland

Worth Forgiving (Book Three) MMA Series
(A standalone novel)

They say men like a lady in the living room and a whore in the bedroom. I never knew the sentiment was reciprocal. Until I met Jax Knight. A gentleman in public, a commanding, dirty talking rogue in the bedroom.
Daughter of legendary fighter “The Saint,” Lily St. Claire knows firsthand how fighters can be. As the owner of a chain of MMA gyms, she’s no stranger to aggressive, dominating, and possessive men. That’s why she’s always kept her distance. But the day Jax Knight walks through her door she’s captivated by his charm. Stunningly handsome, well mannered, Ivy League educated, and confident, he shatters all the preconceived notions she’d come to think were true about men who trained to fight.

But falling for someone so soon after her breakup wasn’t something she’d planned on. And definitely not something her ex plans to allow.

It didn't matter that the ref called it a clean hit. Nico Hunter would never be the same.

Elle has a good life. A job she loves, a great apartment, and the guy she's been dating for more than two years is a catch and a half. But it's boring...and she strives to keep it that way. Too many emotions are dangerous. Her own past is living proof of what can happen when you lose control.

Then Nico walks into Elle's office and everything changes...for both of them. But what can the tattooed, hard-bodied MMA fighter and the beautiful and always steady attorney have in common? A lot more than they bargained for.

***Author's note*** THIS IS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18.

Worth the Chance (Book Two)

Meet Liv Michaels
It may have been seven years, but I'd know him anywhere. Sure, he's grown, filled out in all the right places, but his captivating blue eyes and cocky grin are exactly the way I remember. Even though I'd much rather forget.

Liv Michaels is almost there. She's smart, determined and weeks away from landing the job she's dreamed about for years. Time healed old wounds, even her broken heart from the devastation of being crushed by her first love.

Meet Vince Stone
Women love a fighter, especially a good one. Lucky for me, I'm damn good. But there's one woman that isn't interested. Not again, anyway.

Vince 'The Invincible' Stone is every woman's fantasy...strong, sexy, confident and completely in control. Growing up surrounded by chaos, he's learned never to get too attached. Love will drag you down. He adores women, treats them well, puts their own needs before his own...for the night anyway. With the biggest fight of his life coming up, his focus should be on training.

When fate brings Vince & Liv back together again, there's no denying the chemistry is still there. But can Vince erase the old scars their past left behind? Or will Liv hurt him instead?

***Author's note*** THIS IS A STAND-ALONE NOVEL. Due to strong language and sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the 18.

The Fault in Our Stars

I'm not generally a fan of young adult novels but friends have been bugging me forever to read this book. It seems that one of these friends and I are seeing the movie next week and I was *told* I *had* to read the book prior to seeing the movie. I had the book on audio and thought I would give it a listen. Oh boy!!! As advertised this is one terrific listen/read. The narrator was perfect the voices for each character was wonderful especially Hazel.

John Green is a hugely talented writer and because he knew Hazel so well he brought her thoughts, hopes, ideas to life. Hazel jumped off the pages and became "real". The book was told in first person and usually other characters are short changed when that happens but not in this book. I got just as emotionally invested in August as I did in Hazel. I absolutely adored Isaac and wanted to bash Monica in the face for him. These wonderful characters become a part of you as you read the book.

The book is a total emotional read from several different aspects. Hazel was a 16 year old girl...emotional overflow...but she was also a very sick 16 year old girl...emotions off the scale. August was a 17 year old boy who had already been through so much in those years and although his emotions were as always in your face as Hazel's you felt absolutely everything that was shared with you.

As I said when I started the review I tend to like to read novels that the main characters are slightly older college age miniumum however I never felt that juvenile angst that I dislike so much. I felt that the love between Hazel and August was authentic and in no way puppy love. JG mentioned this a couple of times in the book but it didn't need to be explained I felt the connection was the real thing.

Thank you so much for this novel Mr Green and for gifting the world with Hazel and allowing us share August and Hazel's journey. 5+stars for this amazing read and I can't wait to see how the movie compares.

Update:  I saw the movie and it is one of the best representations of a book I have seen.  Even the dialog from the book was used and worked wonderfully.  *worth the money to see  in the theatre*
